This is what the UK officials are banking on, and why they are willing to put so much money on the line to make it happen. If businesses are attracted to the ten major UK cities with wireless internet, jobs will be created, revenue will be generated, and the UK will continue to prosper.
The goal of the UK government is to have Wi-Fi broadband available in the ten major UK cities by 2015. Work is already underway to make that happen. In addition, they want broadband access to be available to citizens even in rural areas throughout the UK by 2015. This will make the UK a better place to live and work. With the work that has already been done to make this happen, it is entirely possible that the UK will meet their goals. Hopefully many people and businesses will be attracted to the areas as a result of this major expenditure and effort to get Wi-Fi internet throughout the UK.
